About The Coach

Coach Tony Nelo has been involved in the sport of track and field for over a decade, as both an athlete and a coach. As an athlete, he was a YAIAA champion, district medalist, and state qualifier while at Dallastown high school. While in college, Tony was a multiple time conference qualifier and podium finisher in the shot put, discus, and weight throw for the Misericordia Cougars and York College Spartans.

As a coach, Tony has coached multiple athletes to YAIAA medals, as well as district and state qualifiers. At the college level, Nelo has had multiple athletes finish at the top of their conference, on top of obtaining several All-American honors.

Tony currently resides in York, Pennsylvania with his wife Davin.

Based in south central Pennsylvania, Tony Nelo Throws Coaching focuses on empowering young athletes to excel in the throwing events through personalized direction, skill development, and performance enhancement. 

With over 10 years of track and field experience, Coach Tony Nelo is committed to assisting throwers trying to become the best they can possibly be. Through various services, including in-person coaching, virtual coaching, and video reviews, TNTC offers services to any high school thrower who wants to achieve their goals. 

Athletes ranging from brand new to advanced are welcome. Having coached beginners to high end throwers, Coach Tony has experience getting the most out of anyone who wants to be great.
